What we have here is good, old-fashioned 80lbs uncoated cardstock. Excellent for writing on with Sharpie, or anything else, for that matter, as well as for print from laser or inkjet printers that are set up to handle cardstock. Bear in mind that if you are looking for vibrant colors, this is not the right choice — what you want for that is photo stock or cover stock. Card stock is what most business cards are made from, for instance.I found these cards to be the correct size, straight and bright white. 100 cards weighed 500g, which is an indication of their density and thickness. And while they are thick enough to remain straight at any angle, they are not super-thick, and neither my inkjet nor color printer had any trouble pulling them through. I ran both through the multi-purpose feed trays, however, that have a much lower bend than the normal feed trays. The colors were clear and text adhered well whether from ink or from toner. Just don’t expect color vibrancy. Cardstock not cover stock.So in short, these are great cards at a decent, if not stellar, price. Given that so many cards advertise themselves as “heavyweight” when they are, in fact, as thin as tissue paper, I am glad to find some that are actually heavyweight. If you need 5×7 cards that can hold up to some wear and tear, absorb dense ink, or just are a pleasure to use, these should do the trick.
