My ice maker stopped making ice and this replacement part solved the problem. It comes with two parts: A transmitter and a sensor. I only had to replace the side with the sensor. The whole process took ten minutes.I spent a lot of time and money trying to fix the problem before I found this part. I watched videos online that led me in the wrong direction. First, I emptied my refrigerator and freezer and unplugged it overnight to see if the water line was frozen. Then I went through a troubleshooting process with the ice maker itself. I thought the ice maker itself must be broken, so I replaced it, which was expensive. Finally, I realized that my freezer had a flashing light, which was a kind of error code. That led me to the correct answer. Of course, now I wish I had replaced this part first.This is an aftermarket version of the part. I looked into the same part from the original manufacturer, but it was ten times the price of this one! So far this part is working fine. If I have to replace it eight more times, I will still come out ahead.
